公園を歩いていたら、「キーッ」と声がして、カワセミが枝に止まりました。カワセミは、こういう見通しのきく場所の先端などが好きみたいです。ちょっと嬉しくなって、撮ってみました。しかも偶然、飛び立つ直前の瞬間が撮れました。普段、私は鳥を撮る事が少ないので、連写機能はあまり使ったこともなく、カメラ自体の能力も高速撮影に適したものではなかったので、1回シャッターを切っただけで、この写真が撮れたのは結構嬉しかったです。
I was walking in the park. The common kingfisher barked, and perched in the branch , at that time. The common kingfisher likes place where the prospect is effective. I became glad, and took the common kingfisher’s photograph. As for the photograph, the moment when it flew away by chance was taken. As for me, it is few to take the bird usually. I had not used the function of consecutive taking a picture, and it was not the thing which ability of camera in itself was suitable for to photograph a moment. However, I was glad because I pressed the shutter once, and this photograph came out.

でも良く見ると、この枝、自然なようでいて、不自然です…。カワセミの好みそうなところに、カワセミの好みそうな角度で、しかも写真を撮りやすい位置に、枝先を切って加工した枝が張り出している。しかも、全く葉っぱが無く視界を遮るものがない。
However, when this photograph is seen well, the branch is unnatural. The branch that cuts in the position in which the photograph is taken easily the branch ahead and processed it projects to the place where the common kingfisher seems to like it at the angle that the common kingfisher seems to like. The leaf is completely, and moreover, it is not, and there is no something that cuts off the view.

どなたかの「努力」の痕なのでしょう。私にはこの「努力」をどう感じていいのか、はっきりわかりません。「努力」のお陰で貴重な写真が残る場合もあります。「努力」のせいで、生き物が危険に晒されたりすることもあります。
It might be of someone’s “Effort”. It is not understood how I may evaluate this “Effort” to me. A valuable photograph might be taken thanks to “Effort”. The living thing might be jeopardized because of “Effort”.

ただ、動物の生活に大きな影響を与えるほどの、行き過ぎた「努力」は嫌いです。この「努力」により、カワセミはお気に入りの場所をひとつ手に入れ、私も、1枚きれいな写真が撮れました。正直、かなり微妙で複雑な気持ちです。
However, I hate “Effort” as it has a big influence on the life of the animal. By this “Effort”,the common kingfisher was able to obtain a favorite one place and I also take one beautiful photograph. I am slightly complex feelings…

スズメは日本古来からの人間との顔なじみです。日本には稲作農業があり、スズメは稲の実を食べてしまう。今現在も、稲作農家にとってはいいイメージの鳥ではないと思います。しかし、日本人にとってとても身近な存在であり、親しみのある存在です。どんなに鳥の種類を知らない人でも、「スズメ」は知っています。
Tree sparrow  is familiar for a long time in the face with human in Japan. There is rice farming agriculture in Japan. Tree sparrow eats the rice. It is disliked for the rice farming farmer in Japan, from long ago to now. However, tree sparrow is very familiar existence for the Japanese, and friendly existence. Even the person who doesn’t know bird’s kind knows “Tree sparrow”.

日本も経済国になり、今では田んぼもだいぶ減りました。しかしスズメも進化しました。都市の真ん中で、パンくずなどいろんなものを食べてたくましく生きています。むしろ、人のいない山中ではまず見られない鳥です。
Japan became an economic country, and the rice field decreased considerably now.
However, they have evolved, too. As for them, the center of the city is stout alive as it eats various one such as bread crumbs. They are birds not seen in mountain where the person doesn’t exist.

人間が、日本にやってくる前は、一体どんな生活をしていたんでしょうね？人間と一緒に日本にやってきたのでしょうかね？

シギやチドリの仲間の群れの動きはすごいね。あんなに揃って移動できるのはすごすぎる…。休息もみんな同じ向きと、格好。なんだかどの個体を中心に撮ろうか、迷ってしまいますね。
The movement of the crowd of Scolopacidae and Charadriidae becomes complete well. I am impressed by that movement. Shape all rest-style of dunlin for the same. I hesitate mainly which individual to take.

春になったらこのハマシギも北へ旅立ちます。また今度は、ヒナを連れて、日本においで。
Dunlin starts on a journey to the north when spring comes. Take juvenile to Japan next time!

春。日本ではゴールデンウィークと呼ばれる連休の日々。日本人たちはあちこちに旅行をする。渡り鳥たちは、越冬を終え、今度は繁殖するために暖かくなりつつある北へ向かう（北半球での話）。
Spring. There are consecutive holidays that are called Golden Week in Japan.
At that time, Japanese travel here and there. The migratory birds finish passing the winter in spring. And, to breed, the migratory birds head for the north (In case of the northern hemisphere).

ちょうど、日本人の動く時期と渡り鳥の移動時期が重なって、私とこのマヒワは出会いました。10cmちょっとのこの体で、年に2回も何千kmもの旅をする。もちろん疲れるので時々島などで休息をとる。すごい生命力だ。しかし、渡りの途中では鷹などの外敵にも襲われやすい時期です。精神的にも疲れるのでしょう。
This eurasian siskin met me as time where the Japanese moved and migratory bird’s movement time came in succession just. The travel of thousands of kilometers is done twice a year by this body a little 10cm. The rest is sometimes taken on the island etc, because the migratory birds become tired of course. It is great vitality. However, the migratory birds have the danger attacked also by the foreign enemy of the hawk etc, for this period. The migratory birds might mentally become tired.

マヒワはなりふりかまわず、私の目の前でセイヨウタンポポをむさぼり食べていました。私を気にしているが、飛び立つ余裕も無い。今食べなければ渡りが終えられないんだね。普段見せる、鳥の余裕を全く感じさせない時期。改めて渡りの厳しさを知りました。
The eurasian siskin ate Common Dandelion without caring about one’s look in my presence. There is no composure of feelings to which the eurasian siskin flies away, though the eurasian siskin considers me. If it doesn’t surely eat the siskin now, the migratory flight might not be finished. I was known the severity of the migratory flight, again.

くちばしがゆがまないせいか、私は鳥には表情が哺乳類ほど無いように見えてしまう。明らかに表情で威嚇してみたり、喜びを表現することは鳥には難しいのかもしれない。しかしその分、「動き」での表情は多彩だと思う。哺乳類をはるかに超えたいろんな表現をするようにも思える。
There seem to be up to the bird me by the expression and not be mammal. The reason for the beak is that movement is limited. It might be difficult for the bird to express threat, and to express pleasure. However, I think that bird’s expression in “Movement” is variegated. The bird seems to do the expression that exceeds the mammal at “Movement”.

そんな表情の無い鳥たちに、思いがけず表情がついたときは素直に笑える。
I laugh obediently when the expression unexpectedly attaches to birds who do not have such an expression.

偶然ですが、このオオハクチョウ(Cygnus cygnus)には「もさもさ」に鼻毛が生えている。古典的な「お笑い」手法だけど、見つけたときは笑いをこらえるのが大変だった。
This Whooper Swan(Cygnus cygnus) had nose hair, unexpectedly. When he was found, it was serious to endure laughing me.

この鼻毛、あとでちゃんと取る事ができたのかな？
Was this Whooper Swan able to take this nose hair later neatly? 🙂

赤一色。こんなに派手ないでたちをしているのに、日陰ばっかりでなかなか日の当たるところに出てこないアカショウビン。
Red. Ruddy kingfisher is only in shade though it is such showy.

この写真は西表島で出会った、亜種リュウキュウアカショウビン。沖縄の方にやってくるこの亜種は、まだ見やすい種類。たくさんいて、たくさん出会うのに、あんまり写真に残っていない。三脚を持ち歩くことのあんまり無い自分には、日陰で望遠レンズを使いこなすのは難しい…。
I met him in IriomoteIsland. He is “Halcyon coromanda bangsi” (Subspecies). This subspecies that come to Okinawa are kinds that see comparatively easily. They are a lot, and I meet them a lot. However, they don’t remain so much in the photographs. Because I do not carry the tripod, it is difficult to master the telephoto lens in shade. (Because I take a picture of reptiles mainly.)

さらに、本土の方にやってくる亜種アカショウビンはもっとシャイ。姿すらなかなか見れない。
“Halcyon coromanda major” (subspecies) that comes excluding Okinawa is shier. Even the appearance cannot be seen easily.

赤一色と思われがちなこのアカショウビンだけど、１箇所だけ水色の羽を持っています。この水色の羽を輝くように撮るのが、憧れです。
They have light blue wings only by one place. My yearning is to take a picture(Light blue wing to shine).
