アズマヒキガエルは北海道にも今では生息していますが、もともと北海道にいたのかは個人的には疑問です。この青森県のアズマヒキガエルが、日本のヒキガエルでは本来の北限なのではないかと思っています。（つまり北海道には何かの形で移入されたのではと思っています）
I doubt whether in Hokkaido originally though Eastern-japanese common toad (Bufo japonicus formosus) lives in Hokkaido. I do not think that there is Eastern-japanese common toad of Aomori Prefecture in toad of Japan because it is an original north limit of it. (In a word, Eastern-japanese common toad might have been imported to Hokkaido, I think.)

この撮影地は、恐山。霊的な聖地とされていて、ここにはイタコと呼ばれる巫女たちがいます。イタコは霊を体に宿し、死者がイタコを通じて生者と話をする事が出来る「口寄せ」を行うとされています。そんな畏れ多い場所で出会った北限のアズマヒキガエルは、体色も奇抜な赤、雨に濡れて不気味さを増し、口をパクパクさせていかにも「口寄せ」を行っているかのようでした。
The taking a picture ground of this Eastern-japanese common toad is Mt.Osore-zan (Japanese mean : Mountain of fear). There are shrine maidens from whom here is made to a spiritual sacred ground, and called Itako. Itako is assumed that the soul is borne in the body, and “Kuchi-yose” (Japanese mean : Mouth drawing) in which it can talk about the dead human with living human through Itako is done.

本当は、たまたま食事後か何かで、口の周りの違和感を解消しようと、パクパクさせていた、なんてところなんでしょうけどね。久しぶりに、対象をど真ん中に撮ってみました。
This Eastern-Japanese Common Toad which I came across at this place got the color of the body wet with original red in the rain and it was weird and she moved a mouth and did seem to perform “Kuchi-yose” at all. In fact, I expected it in this way. “She moved a mouth to get rid of sense of incongruity around the mouth in the meal back”

スミスヤモリ(Gecko smithi)はとても大型のヤモリです。トッケイヤモリ(Gecko gecko)に次ぐ、Gecko属2番目の大きさで、日本に住むヤモリの2倍くらいの大きさがあります。大きさだけでも迫力のあるヤモリですが、何より異様なのは、その目の色。他のヤモリには見られない特徴の緑色の目。闇夜で、何かの役に立つものなのでしょうか？
Smith’s gecko (Gecko smithi) is a very large-sized gecko. He has size of the double of geckos living in Japan with size of the second “Gecko genus” which is next to Tockay gecko (Gecko gecko). He is a gecko with the punch only with size, but it is the eye color to be strange above all. Will the green eyes of the characteristic that is not seen to other geckos be helpful things of anything at a dark night?

虹彩に特徴があれば、まだ理解は出来るのですが、「見える能力」には直接関係しない、白目の部分。（緑目だけど…）生き物の進化は理屈だけじゃ理解できませんね。
If an iris is characteristic, I can do the understanding, but “the ability to see” cannot understand the green sclera which I am not related to directly. I cannot understand the evolution of the creature only in reason.

近いです。人馴れしてしまっているゼニガタアザラシでした。2007年7月初め、このゼニガタアザラシで事件が起こりました。いろいろあるので、地名は伏せました。事件は、このゼニガタアザラシが人を咬んで、引っ掻いて怪我を負わせたというもの。しかし、報道の内容はショッキングなものでした。珍しいもの見たさに、このゼニガタアザラシを観察に来た人々の中には、このアザラシを足で蹴ったり、子供をまたがせて写真を撮ったり、棒でたたいたり。
It is near. This photograph is Common seal (Phoca vitulina). This Common seal hardly fears the person. This Common seal caused trouble at the beginning on July, 2007. This case was the one of having made this Common seal owe the injury scratching and biting the person. I concealed the name of a place of which I took a picture this Common seal. The content of the news was very shocked. This seal seemed to be kicked by the foot, to be stepped over, and to have beaten with the stick by a few people who had come to observe this Common seal.

そもそも、自分も、この距離で写真を撮ることは、対野生動物を考えると全くいい事ではありません。野生動物とは適当な距離を持たなければ、いつか事件が起こります。普段、野生動物との付き合いが無い人にとって、この距離で見る事が出来るのはこの上ないチャンスで、つい触りたくなる気持ちもわかります。しかし、全く野生動物とかかわりの無い人にとっては、このアザラシを犬や猫を扱うように触りたがってしまいます。きっとそんな中で起こった事件だったのでしょう。
To begin with, it is not a thing good compared with wild animals that I also take the photograph by this distance. This case happens with wild animals and the person some time without a suitable distance. It is a chance that can see the seal for the person who doesn’t have wild animals and contact in this distance usually further. It wants inadvertently to touch and I also understand becoming it feelings a little. However, it seems to be thought that the person who doesn’t have wild animals and contact is a person that this seal doesn’t have the change with the dog and the cat. It would be the case that happened in what the people were going to be involved in with a wild animal willingly.

適当な距離を持つこと。どうしてこのアザラシの方から出来ないのでしょう？もしかしたら、過去に人間に保護されて、人馴れしているのではないかという説が流れていました。それであれば、人間のほうが、適当な距離を持ってあげるようにしたいですね。それにしても、ペットを扱うように触りたくなる部分にはまだ理解が出来るものの、寝てる生き物を、蹴りますか？棒でたたきますか？集団心理、興奮状態、いろいろ理由が重なってやったことかもしれませんが、理由なんて動物は理解できません。反省しなくてはならないことだと思います。私を含めて。
Why may not this seal have suitable distance with a person? There was the rumor that this seal was protected in the past by a human being, and become accustomed a human. A human being must have suitable distance if so. Still, do you kick a sleeping creature? Do you swat it with a stick? It may be that group psychology, an excitement state, various reasons occurred at the same time, but the animal cannot understand a reason. I think that it should reflect. Including me.

最初見たとき、これがハエの仲間だとは思わなかった。羽の角度はおかしいし、ものすごい綺麗。でも、よく見ると顔がハエっぽかった。調べてみたらミバエの仲間、ミツボシハマダラミバエだった。
ハエというと、汚く身近を飛び回る、不快なイメージが強い。でも、ハエの仲間というのはとても種類が多く、このミバエの仲間やアシナガバエの仲間などとても綺麗なグループもいる。
I did not think that I was fly’s companion when this insect was seen for the first time. The angle of this fly’s wing is amusing, and patterns beautiful. But I saw a face like a fly when I took it carefully. We have the image “The fly is dirty and unpleasant”. However, there are quite a lot of kinds, and a very beautiful group such as this fruit fly’s companions and Long-legged fly’s companions exists with fly’s companion, too.

しかし、ミバエは植物に卵を産み、果実や葉っぱなどを食害する。そのため、農業害虫として知られている事が多い。このミツボシハマダラミバエが飛び去った数十分後、この乗っていた葉っぱは妙な萎れ方をしていた。葉っぱに潜るタイプの幼虫を持つ種類だったのかな。
The fruit fly lays an egg to a plant and damages fruit or a leaf. Therefore it tends to be known to us as an agriculture harmful insect. Dozens of minutes when Mitsu-boshi-ha-madara-mi-bae flew away later, the leaf which it was carried on withered up. I expected it whether “This fly was a kind having the larva of the type to go into the leaf ? “.

私は、ムカデは怖いです。毒をもっているし、たくさんある足で不可解な動きをする。硬そうな外見でいながら柔軟に動き回る。人の家にずかずかと上がりこむ…。そんな理由で私はムカデが苦手です。とても素早く、写真を撮る機会もなく、また、対峙する勇気もありません。でも、いつかは克服、あるいは生態をちゃんと理解したいと考えていました。そのチャンスは突然現れました。トビズムカデが路上で弱っていました。ほとんど動けません。こちらもおり良く、マクロレンズを装備したカメラを持っていました。…今しかチャンスはないっ！トビズムカデの正面に回りこみ、できるだけ近づいて見ます…。いわゆる毒をもった顎（牙みたいなもの）がよく見えます…。「突然動き出さないでよ～！」と心で叫びながら、いろいろ撮りました。
I am afraid of the centipede. The centipede holds poison and makes a mysterious move with a certain foot a lot. While there is it by the appearance that seems to be firm, the centipede moves flexibly. The centipede goes on the house of the person rudely…. I am weak in a centipede for such a reason. The chance of the centipede to take the photograph quickly is few, and I do not have the courage faced the centipede either.
But I overcame weak point awareness for the centipede someday and wanted to understand the habits properly. And the chance appeared suddenly. The centipede has weakened on the road. He was able hardly to move. By chance, I also had the camera equipped with macro-lens. I was not able to miss this chance. I turned in front of  centipede, approached as much as possible, and saw. I was able to see its chin (one like the fang) with the poison of the centipede. While I took photographs it, shouting in the mind that “Do not begin to move suddenly!”.

結果的にですが、ムカデという生き物は、面白い被写体でした。意外に目はつぶらで、かわいい…とは言いにくいですが、怖いイメージは少ないかもしれません。また、ムカデは長い生き物で、ヘビとも共通するものがあります。カメラを固定する事が出来れば、F値をいろいろいじって、深度の違う写真を撮ると、印象がガラッと変わって、面白かったです。
As a result, the creature called the centipede was an interesting subject for me. As for the centipede, the eyes are round unexpectedly. His face is hard to be said to be pretty, but there may be few fearful images. In addition, the centipede has the thing which is common with the snake with a long creature. If I can fix a camera, I change F-number and can take a different photograph of the depth. As for the photograph which changed F-number, an impression changed completely and was interesting.

この写真を撮ったことで、少しムカデにも興味が湧き、調べる機会になりました。でも、やっぱりいくら撮っても、さすがにムカデを可愛く撮る事はできませんでした…。やはり植えつけられた恐怖感というものは簡単に拭い去れないようです。弱っていたトビズムカデは、日陰の草むらに放してきました。ムカデは怖いけど、そのままにしておくのは忍びなかったのです。
I got interest to some centipedes by having taken this photograph and had an opportunity to examine it. But I was not able to take it cutely even if I took a centipede no matter how much. After all will not I come out for a latent sense of fear well? I have released weakening Tobi-zu-mukade in the grassy place of shade. Although I was fear the centipede, but having left as it was unbearable for me.

ネズミっぽく見える、この外見のエゾナキウサギですが、分類的にはウサギに近い仲間です。生息地としては、それほど広くは分布していないのですが、住んでいるところに行くと、比較的見やすい哺乳類のひとつだと思います。岩の積み重なったような、ガレ場のトンネルを入ったり出たり、忙しく繰り返したかと思うと、岩の上で縄張り宣言か警戒か、「キチーっ」と2声3声鳴いては、シャッターチャンスをくれます。しかし、みんな同じ写真になっちゃうのですよね。ははは。
It is near rabbit’s companion on taxonomy though Northern pika  looks mousy. Their habitats are narrow. However, I thought that it was a mammal that saw comparatively easily when I went to their habitats. They enter and go out of the tunnel where the rock is piled. And they give me a shutter chance when territory declaration or caution calls two or three voice “Fyi !, Kichi !” on a rock. However, my photograph to take at the moment becomes the all same photograph…

春先に、生息地に足を運ぶと、春の花や、食草のゴゼンタチバナなども咲き乱れて、茂り始めた緑と、空の青とが、本当にすがすがしいところです。生息地には、エゾシマリスや、捕食者となるエゾオコジョなどもいる事があるので、のんびりしたいところなのですが、有名な生息地では他のカメラマンの方や、ナキウサギにいろいろ気がひけて、居づらくなって、すぐに帰ってしまう気の弱い自分がいるのでした。
When I go to their habitat in the early spring, a flower of spring or Cornus canadensis  of their edible grass bloom in profusion and the green that has begun to grow thick and blue sky are really refreshing and feel it. In their habitats, there might be Siberian chipmunk. Moreover, there is a thing where Eｒmine that becomes their predators exists, too. Although I wanted to take a photograph leisurely, in their famous habitat, I felt diffident about other cameramen, and it was hard I coming to be, and I returned immediately.

今、私の身の回りではよくいる、シュレーゲルアオガエルです。「シュレーゲル」という日本的でない名前が付いていますが外来種ではなく、れっきとした日本のカエルです。「シュレーゲル」という学者さん方が発見したので、そういう名が付きました。
A photograph is Schlegel’s green tree frog which there is with my appearance well. This frog gains the name that is not Japanesque of “Schlegel”, but, not a exoticism species, it is the frog which is in Japan from old days. Because the scholar “Schlegel” had discovered it, such a name was given.

とても身近なシュレーゲルアオガエルですが、意外と見つけにくい。鳴き声はとてもたくさんしているのですが、田んぼの畦の下から聞こえてきます。土の中にもぐっているのか、簡単には姿が見れません。夜なら少し出てきて活動しているので、見やすいです。写真のものは、昼間から抱接している個体がいたので、ゆっくり撮らせてもらえました。
It is not unexpectedly found easily though it is a very familiar Schlegel’s green tree frog wiht us. I do a croak of them very a lot, but hear the voice from a levee of a rice field. We cannot easily watch a figure probably because they go into soil. But, because they come out at night and are active, it is easy to watch it. Because there was that a photograph did amplexus from the day, I took them slowly.

私が青梅に引っ越してきたら、シュレーゲルアオガエルのほかにも、モリアオガエルというカエルも住んでいます。シュレーゲルアオガエルとの違いは、樹上性、成熟してると虹彩が赤い、皮膚の顆粒が荒い、水かきが少し大きいなどの違いはあるのですがやっぱり中途半端なやつがいて、同定で頭を抱える事があります。特に東北地方のモリアオガエルは、よりシュレーゲルアオガエルに似るようです。瞬時に同定できないものは、捕まえたりしないといけないので、これまた苦労します。
When I move in Ome, Forest Green Tree Frog (Rhacophorus arboreus) also lives around here. The difference with the Schlegel’s green tree frog is red the iris when maturing, rough the granulated powder of the skin, and the paddle’s difference of a little largeness and live on the tree etc… However, there is a halfway individual, and I have the thing that worries because of identification. Especially, Forest Green Tree Frog in the Tohoku region seems to be like to the Schlegel’s green tree frog well.
What I cannot instantaneously identify it should be captured, and I have a hard time, too.

自分のハンドルネーム『ばいかだ』のもととなったヘビ、サキシマバイカダです。昼光下で撮りましたが、本来は夜行性のヘビです。
It is White banded wolf snake which the snake of a photograph became as for the thing of my nickname “Baikada”. I took a photograph at noon, but it is originally a nocturnal snake.

彼は気まぐれに現れます。そして爬虫類しか食べない偏屈者。体型も1mを超える個体でも太さは親指程度。そして、地味。見ようによってはその名の通り、梅の花をちりばめた紋様にも似た可憐さを持つ。自分は…。まあ、いろいろ親近感を持つのですよ。偏屈だし、痩せて長いし地味だし。だから『ばいかだ』という名前をいただきました。漢字でいえば『梅花蛇』です。中国や台湾で近い仲間が居ますが、サキシマバイカダほど細くはないそうです。
He shows up capriciously. And, he is an obstinate snake which only reptiles eat. In his figure, the thickness is a thumb level in the individual that exceeds 1m. And, he is sober. I am having a sense of closeness variously. I am also obstinate, and it is long, and sober becoming thin. Therefore, I got nickname “Baikada”. The meaning of Japanese of “Baikada” is a snake like plum blossoms. It seems not to be thinner than White banded wolf snake though he has a kind near China and Taiwan.

さて、彼は半端に攻撃的です。すぐ咬んだりするけど、あまり激しく威嚇せず逃げ回る個体が多い気がします。威嚇してもすぐ止めてしまうので、あんまりゆっくり撮れない…。また結構ちょこまか動き回ります。そしてなにより細い割に長いです。結構撮りにくいタイプかも？全体像を写しても細長いので、小写しになってしまい、撮りたい特徴が出てくれません。かといってアップにしてもなんか魅力を伝えにくい。加えてなかなか出会える蛇ではありません。なんと気がつくとロクな写真が残っていません。
He is a little aggressive. I think that　he gets bite immediately, but it to tend to run around without threatening it too much. Because he stops the threat posture soon, I cannot slowly take the photograph. In addition, he moves well. And he is very long though he is thin. May it be to be a snake of the type that it is hard to take to a photograph? It is taken small, and the image that I want to take doesn’t come out because it is long and slender even if his whole image is taken. The charm is not told easily even if he is improved and it takes a picture. Furthermore, he is not readily a snake to be able to come across. A good photograph is not left at my hand when I notice.

まだ彼の(自分の？)魅力を引き出すため、じっくり撮影するために生息地に足を運びたいです。
I still more of him (of myself?). I want to go to visit a habitat to draw charm to photograph it slowly and carefully.

公園を歩いていたら、「キーッ」と声がして、カワセミが枝に止まりました。カワセミは、こういう見通しのきく場所の先端などが好きみたいです。ちょっと嬉しくなって、撮ってみました。しかも偶然、飛び立つ直前の瞬間が撮れました。普段、私は鳥を撮る事が少ないので、連写機能はあまり使ったこともなく、カメラ自体の能力も高速撮影に適したものではなかったので、1回シャッターを切っただけで、この写真が撮れたのは結構嬉しかったです。
I was walking in the park. The common kingfisher barked, and perched in the branch , at that time. The common kingfisher likes place where the prospect is effective. I became glad, and took the common kingfisher’s photograph. As for the photograph, the moment when it flew away by chance was taken. As for me, it is few to take the bird usually. I had not used the function of consecutive taking a picture, and it was not the thing which ability of camera in itself was suitable for to photograph a moment. However, I was glad because I pressed the shutter once, and this photograph came out.

でも良く見ると、この枝、自然なようでいて、不自然です…。カワセミの好みそうなところに、カワセミの好みそうな角度で、しかも写真を撮りやすい位置に、枝先を切って加工した枝が張り出している。しかも、全く葉っぱが無く視界を遮るものがない。
However, when this photograph is seen well, the branch is unnatural. The branch that cuts in the position in which the photograph is taken easily the branch ahead and processed it projects to the place where the common kingfisher seems to like it at the angle that the common kingfisher seems to like. The leaf is completely, and moreover, it is not, and there is no something that cuts off the view.

どなたかの「努力」の痕なのでしょう。私にはこの「努力」をどう感じていいのか、はっきりわかりません。「努力」のお陰で貴重な写真が残る場合もあります。「努力」のせいで、生き物が危険に晒されたりすることもあります。
It might be of someone’s “Effort”. It is not understood how I may evaluate this “Effort” to me. A valuable photograph might be taken thanks to “Effort”. The living thing might be jeopardized because of “Effort”.

ただ、動物の生活に大きな影響を与えるほどの、行き過ぎた「努力」は嫌いです。この「努力」により、カワセミはお気に入りの場所をひとつ手に入れ、私も、1枚きれいな写真が撮れました。正直、かなり微妙で複雑な気持ちです。
However, I hate “Effort” as it has a big influence on the life of the animal. By this “Effort”,the common kingfisher was able to obtain a favorite one place and I also take one beautiful photograph. I am slightly complex feelings…

私は、どちらかというとクモは苦手です。嫌いではないと思うのですが、近寄りがたい存在です。足が６本より多い生き物を敬遠する傾向にあるみたいです。（特に素早いやつ）だからヘビが好きなんでしょうか。足が０本だから…。
One of my weak-point is spider. There is not appearing so as to say that I dislike a spider, but it is the existence that is hard to approach it. I am not good at creature that has over six feet of design. (especially, quick crectures…) Therefore, do I like snakes? Because the snake’s foot is 0…

２ヶ月ほど前から、家にミスジハエトリというハエトリグモが住み着き始めました。ハエトリグモの仲間はほとんどが1cm未満。そしてぴょんぴょん跳ねます。我が家のミスジハエトリは、私のパソコン周りで、ディスプレイにあるマウスポインターを、追い掛け回しています。（餌だと思っているんでしょう。）
For about two months, the jumping spider what’s japanese named Misuji-hae-tori (Mean:Three lined jumping spider) (Plexippus setipes) began to live in my house. In jumping spider’s species, most is less than 1cm in the size. And, they splash hopping. Misuji-hae-tori of my home runs after and turns the mouse pointer on the display in my computer surroundings. (It might be thought that it is insect. )

ハエトリグモは小さいですが、大きなクモとまったく違う動きをし、顔も愛嬌があるようにも見えます。よく観察すると面白い生き物です。写真のものは、ネコハエトリ。野外で撮影しているときに、ふと見つけて、目が合いました。つぶらな瞳･･･ですが、よく見るとやっぱりクモですね。目が４つあります。
ハエトリグモの中でも、色々な表情を持ったものがいますが、このネコハエトリは格別の可愛さ（？）でした。
The jumping spider seems to be small, and to have the charm also by movement quite different from a big spider and the face. It is a ceature interesting when often observing it. This photograph is Neko-hae-tori (Carrhotus xanthogramma). When I was taking a picture in the outdoors, I found her, and my eyes and her eyes were matched.

しばらくすると、飽きたのか、怖くなったのか、顎（髭みたいなところ）をもじゃもじゃ動かし、文句を言ったようなしぐさを見せたあとで、葉っぱのジャングルを跳ね回って去っていきました。撮影にお付き合いしてくれて、ありがとう！
There are four eyes when often seeing though her eyes are lovely round eyes. In saltigrade (Jumping spider), there was the thing which had various expressions, but this Neko-haetori was particular prettiness. She got tired after a while or became scary? She moved the mandible (place like the beard), and seemed to complain. And, it romped about soon in the jungle of the leaf and it left. For my photography, thank you for acquaintance!
