這う生き物は、フィールドサインに乏しい。こういう、尻尾を引きずった跡が残っていれば、姿はなくともカメが生きているのがわかる。
Creeping creatures do not show many Field signs. If there is the sign which dragged their tail even if I do not find their figure, I understand that a turtle lives in there.

でも、亀はお堀や公園の池で、見かけることがほとんど。そこに泥質の地面は少なく、フィールドサインは残らない。
But, in the case of most, it is a pond of a park that we watch a turtle. Because there is not mud in there, they do not show a field sign.

私が田んぼでニホンイシガメを初めて見たとき、草ヤブを走り抜けるカメの足音、カメが泥にどんどん潜って行く姿、泥の上のキャンバスに描かれる彼らのフィールドサインに私は感動した。
When I see the Japanese Pond Turtle for the first time in the rice field, I was impressed by the footsteps of the tortoise which could finish running a grass thicket, by the figure that a tortoise went into the mud steadily, by their field sign drawn on the canvas on the mud !
