ヘビで太陽をバックにした逆光写真も撮ってみたいと思っていた。
きっとチャンスはこれからもあると思うのだけど、日本の昼ヘビは地べたにいる事が多いので太陽バックの写真は難しい。
I thought that I wanted to take it of the backlight photograph of the snake that backed the sun.
Hereafter, I will surely have the chance.
However, it is difficult for me to take the photograph of the snake that backs the sun because there are a lot of the snake that acts in the daytime of Japan on ground.

コンクリ地面からの照り返しでの逆光写真は面白みを感じないのだけど、濡れた地面は反射が均一じゃないから面白いです。
撮る人間はドロドロになりますが。
I do not feel interest in the backlight photograph of the reflection from concrete ground.
However, it is interesting in me because wet ground doesn’t reflect uniform light.
Though man who takes the photograph becomes muddy.

跳ね水が逆光を受けて、火花のように散っていました。
Splash water caught the backlight and was scattered like a spark.

這う生き物は、フィールドサインに乏しい。
こういう、尻尾を引きずった跡が残っていれば、姿はなくともカメが生きているのがわかる。
Creeping creatures do not show many Field signs.
If there is the sign which dragged their tail even if I do not find their figure, I understand that a turtle lives in there.

でも、亀はお堀や公園の池で、見かけることがほとんど。
そこに泥質の地面は少なく、フィールドサインは残らない。
But, in the case of most, it is a pond of a park that we watch a turtle.
Because there is not mud in there, they do not show a field sign.

私が田んぼでニホンイシガメを初めて見たとき、
草ヤブを走り抜けるカメの足音、
カメが泥にどんどん潜って行く姿、
泥の上のキャンバスに描かれる彼らのフィールドサインに私は感動した。
When I see the Japanese Pond Turtle for the first time in the rice field,
I was impressed by the footsteps of the tortoise which could finish running a grass thicket,
by the figure that a tortoise went into the mud steadily,
by their field sign drawn on the canvas on the mud !

ばしっと決まった写真ではないのですが、タカの仲間を上から見下ろすというのも、良いですよね。
I think that the viewpoint to overlook the osplay is interesting.

図鑑でもあまりお目にかかれないし。
識別には、ほとんど役に立たないからだね（＾＾；
Even if this photograph reads an illustrated book, I am not seen.
The reason is because it does not stand in the position to distinguish.

私が写真の撮りはじめた頃、いろんな方に興味を持ってもらえた写真。
生き物目線の写真って面白いなと、思えた写真でした。
When I took this photograph,
I thought that it was interesting to take a photograph in the angle of the creature.

ちっぽけなのに、恐竜みたい。
Though he is small, he seems to be a dinosaur.

ヘビはそのほとんどが、私が近づくと逃げていきます。
When I approach, the most sanke escape.

ところが時々、アオダイショウでは「でん」と構えて動かないやつもいます。
However, there is sometimes an individual from which it doesn’t run away either in Japanese ratsnake.

アオダイショウの「大将」は、大きなヘビという意味合いもあると思うのだが、こうした堂々とした態度も「大将」なのかもしれない。
Japanese ratsnake is called “Ao daisyo” in Japanese.
“Ao” means blue or green.
When I am called by one word, “Daisyo” is called “Taisyo”.
“Taisyo” is a word to mean a general.
“Taisyo” is named concerning a big snake, but it may be that such a dignified manner is an origin.

このキタキツネが忍者という訳ではなく、私が忍者のようなものなのです。
This fox is not a ninja but I am the one like the ninja.

この撮影時、キタキツネと私の距離は数メートル。
シャッターが下りるまでキタキツネは気づいていなかった。
（だから相手はかなり驚いたと思うんだけど…）
At the time of this photography, Ezo red fox and my distance are several meters.
The Ezo red fox did not notice it till a shutter went down.
(So the Ezo red fox was considerably surprised, I think…)

キタキツネは比較的人慣れしやすい動物で、餌が欲しいと、人の手から食べる場合もある。
人間と野生動物の関わりで、よく問題視されて題材となりやすい動物だ。
それでも彼らには警戒心がある。
何もないのに人間が近寄ると逃げる。
Ezo red fox is comparatively the animal which is easy to be used to people.
When they want food, they eat from person’s hand occasionally.
Ezo red fox is an animal that is often put in problem because of relations of man and wild animals and becomes a theme.
They still have wariness.
When a human approaches though nothing has a reason, they escape.

動物や野鳥を写真に撮るために、普通利用されるのがブラインドなど。
人の姿を消して迷彩することで動物との距離を縮めて写真に収める。
でも、私は1か所に腰を落ち着けて動物を待ち続けるのは、どちらかというと苦手。
歩きまわって出会い頭、という方が得意です。
Being usually used to take in the photograph the animal and the wild bird is “Blind ” etc.
It erases person’s appearance, shortens the distance with the animal with camouflage, and takes the photograph.
However, I am not good at keeping wait for the animal.
I am good at the stroll and taking the photograph.

私には特技（？）がある。人を驚かせること。
私は全く意識していないのだが、驚いた側の人に話を聞くと、気配無く後ろに回り込んでいるという。
昔からなので、もう私は慣れたが、今までものすごい回数と人数に驚かれた。
私はただ苦笑いするだけ。
I have a special ability. It is to surprise a person.
I am not conscious, but it is said that I sneak around without a sign behind.
Because it was from old days, I was already used, but, as for me, it was surprised at a lot of number of times and numbers of people so far.
I only smile a wry smile.

ただ、そんな能力も時々動物にも通用する。
それは私にとって嬉しいことだ。
しかし、動物も人間も、気がつくと私が目の前にいるのだから迷惑なことだろう（＾＾；
時には驚かすのも悪いのでそのまま素通りすることもある。
But such ability sometimes passes in an animal, too. It is nice for me.
However, it will be annoying because there is me near when both the animal and the human being notice.
I pass by at times occasionally.
The reason for I is that it worries about terrifying the animal.

私の家系の家紋は「隅切り角」にある植物が入っている。
これは御庭番系列の家紋だと百科事典に書いてあったようだ。
御庭番と言えば「忍者」や「スパイ」のイメージですよね。
黒装束を着た忍者ではないけど、時に人の目や心を欺くときもある。
私はウソをつくのがひどく苦手なので、心理面の忍者は無理。
ということで技能面に先祖の魂が残ったか？
My family crest has the plant that exists in “the square with each corner cut off”. It seems to be written that this was a family crest of the secret agent in the encyclopedia.
It is an image of “Ninja” and “Spy” if it is said the secret agent?
Though it is not the ninja who wore black costume, there is it when he sometimes deceive eyes and the heart of the person.
It is hard for me to tell a lie. It seems to be impossible mentally to become a ninja. Is the ability of the ninja left only in the skill to me?

私の暮らすこの時代や地域が平和なので、もっぱらその能力は人や動物を驚かすためだけにある。
Because this time and the area where I live in are peaceful, there is the ability wholly to be able to hold it to surprise a person and an animal.

ヒバカリは水辺の環境に好んで生息している。
Japanese keelback inhabits the environment of the waterside willingly.

自身が水分を多く必要とするから水辺に多いというのも理由だと思うが、食べている動物であるカエルやミミズが湿った環境に多いからという理由が大きいので水辺に生息しているのだと思う。
Because themselves need a lot of water, I think that it is a reason that there is many in the waterside. However, I think that they inhabit the waterside because there are many reasons in the environment where a frog and the earthworm which are an animal becoming the bait got wet.

ヒバカリはとても小さなヘビで、50cmを超える個体はかなり稀。同じ水辺を好むヤマカガシやシマヘビと何らかの競争を避けるために、朝昼よりも早朝や夕方、日没後に行動していることが多い。
Japanese keelback is a very small snake, and there are considerably few individuals more than 50cm.
The Japanese keelback tends to act in the morning after sunset or in the evening in an early morning from the noon to avoid the struggle for existence with Tiger keelback and the Japanese four lined snake liking the same waterside.

水辺で生活すると、極端な例でいえばアナコンダのように重い体重を水による浮力で軽減し、巨大化してほかの動物から襲われるのを防ぐこともできる。
The snake living in a waterside reduces the heavy weight by buoyancy like an anaconda and can prevent what they become gigantic, and is attacked by other animals.

でもこのヒバカリは、目立たないように小さく、目立たないような時間帯に行動することで今日まで生きて来ることができた。
生き物の、生き抜く戦略はいろんな思惑があって面白い。
But this Japanese keelback made a body small , and  chose that they acted in time when they were not outstanding, to survive it until today.
The strategy that the creature survives has various expectations and is interesting.

エゾコヤマトンボ。ヤゴの羽化殻は動かない。生きているわけでも死んでいるわけでもない。
An emergence husk of a dragonfly nymph does not move. Even if it lives, not dead.

こういった、動かない「生き物だったもの」は撮るのが簡単と言えば簡単だし、でも私には難しく思う。
If it says simply to take “the thing which was a creature” which does not move, it is easy and but it is difficult for me.

せっかく動かない被写体だし、たまには創作してみるのもおもしろいかなと思って写真を撮りました。
こういう写真を撮るのに出来上がりを想像して、いろいろ考えるのも楽しいね。
レタッチはしないつもりだったけど、携帯のメーカー名だけ消しました。
Because I had obtained the subject that did not move, I sometimes created and took a photograph.
Though I did not intend to retouch, I deleted only the maker name of the mobile phone.

ストロボのマルチ発光で生き物を撮った友人の写真に触発されて、光で遊んでみました。
私はマルチ発光できるストロボを持っていないので、LED懐中電灯を使って撮りました。
LED懐中電灯、大好きです（＾＾）
この撮影で野外で生き物を撮ってみたいな。
I was touched off in the photograph of the friend who took the creature by the multi luminescence of the flash, and I played because of light.
Because I did not have the flash that by the multi luminescence, I used an LED flashlight and took it.
I love an LED flashlight.
I want to try to take a creature by this photography method in the outdoors.

ところでヤゴを含む水生昆虫の幼虫の英語は、”nymph”というのですね。
ニンフは「妖精」という意味しか知らなかったので、パソコンの翻訳辞書で検索したとき、
幼虫≒幼生→変換ミス→妖精＝”nymph”
と誤植してるのかと勘繰ってしまいました。
しかし、ちゃんと本の辞書でも「水生昆虫の幼虫」という意味が載っていました。
I did not know that the larva of the dragonfly was called “nymph”.
I thought that “nymph” meant the thing of the never land.
However, “nymph” had the meaning called the larva of the insect which lived in the water.

この”nymph”は大人になるとこんなトンボになるのですが、黄色と黒の縞々のトンボ、ヤンマやサナエの仲間に見えてしまいました。
後で知人に調べてもらったところ、エゾトンボの仲間のエゾコヤマトンボだとわかりました。
This “nymph” became such a dragonfly when it became an adult.

葉緑素を持たないイチヤクソウ科の植物、ギンリョウソウ。
葉緑素で養分を作らず、腐葉土や腐蝕質から養分を吸い取って育つ。
A plant, the Monotropastrum humile which do not have chlorophyl.
It does not make nourishment with chlorophyl and it absorbs nourishment from a rotten thing and is brought up.

白く不気味な外見のため、英語では”Corpse plant”（死体草）と呼ばれる。
It is called “Corpse plant” in the English for white, weird appearance.

また、別名を”Indian Pipe”という。
“Indian”は、コロンブスの勘違いからネイティブアメリカンを「インドの人」と呼んだことに発する。
直接の意味としては問題ないと思うのだが、過去にこの”Indian”を差別的に使われた歴史があり、”Indian pipe”をこのネット上に書くかどうかで少し悩んだ。
And the another name is called “Indian Pipe”.
It originates in Columbus’s calling Native American by the misunderstanding “Person in India” , saying that “Indian”.
There was a history that had used this “Indian” in the past by discrimination ,as a meaning though it was no problem for a direct meaning…
I worried a little whether I wrote “Indian pipe” on this internet.

しかし、”Indian”自体の意味には問題はないかと思い、話題にすることにしました。
日本でも同じく北海道にはアイヌという先住民がいました。アイヌ語で「アイヌ」は人という意味なのですが、アメリカと同じく「アイヌ」を差別的に使ったことにより、一時アイヌは差別語として使用を控える傾向があった。
しかし、近年、「アイヌ」は標準的に使われるようになってきている。差別的な用語ではないと認識が変わってきている。
However, I thought whether the meaning of “Indian” in itself did not have the problem and decided to make it a topic.
There were indigenous people called “Ainu” in Hokkaido in Japan.
As for “Ainu”, “a person” means by Ainu.
However, there was the time when it was used “Ainu” for a discriminatory meaning in Japan as well as U.S.A.
That is why “Ainu” tended to refrain from use as discrimination word at one time.
However, in late years “Ainu” comes to be employed normally. .

近年、魚類学会と昆虫学会では差別的な表現を用いた和名を改名する動きにある。
「メクラカメムシ」から「カスミカメムシ」へ、「イザリウオ」から「カエルアンコウ」へ、など。
身体的な障害を表現する言葉は避けようという努力です。
しかし、生き物を相手に仕事をする人にとっては、多くの種の改名によって混乱します。
In late years there is it for movement to change its name from the Japanese name that used discriminatory expression for in Ichthyological Society and Entomological Society.
Because the policy that we will not use “the words to express a physical disability”.
However, for the person working for a creature, the rename of many creatures course confusion.

学会によっても動きは違うのですが、アホウドリやブラーミニメクラヘビなども和名が変わる日が来るのだろうか。
“Indian Pipe”は変な意識なく使うことができる日は来るのだろうか。
Will the day that I can spend without being conscious of words called “Indian pipe” come?

ヘビを探して歩きまわると求める種類によってはこのギンリョウソウによく出会う。
花はいつも斜め下を向いており、そのチャームポイントを今まで見逃してきたが、「しべ」の部分はとっても驚くような色をしている。
When I walk about in search of a snake, I find “Corpse plant” well.
Flowers always turned to the diagonal bottom, and I missed the charm point so far.
The inside of the flower of “Corpse plant” is a color surprised at.

私の鳥の好みの傾向も流線形。アジサシやカワセミは大好きです。
My favorite tendency of bird is streamlined, too. I love a tern and the kingfisher.

ただ、好きだからと言って撮れるかというとそうはいかない。
流線形の鳥を流線形を生かした形で撮るのは難しい。鳥を撮るのは苦手だ。
However, I cannot take photograph bird well because I like it.
It is difficult to take photograph a streamlined bird in the form that I made use of a streamline in. It is hard for me to take a bird.

満足いく鳥の写真を撮れる日が来るのはいつの日か？
Will the day when the photography of the bird which I can be satisfied with is possible come?
