木漏れ日のスポットライト。
温かみのある光の孤独感。
The spot light is sunlight through the trees.
The feeling of loneliness which is the warming light.
アスファルトの灰色とジムグリの赤。
野生動物と人工物の違和感。
The gray of asphalt and the red of Japanese forest ratsnake.
The feeling which is out of place.
僕とジムグリの出会いは大体いつもこんな感じ。
森の中に走る道路。
人とジムグリの交差点。
Always I meet Japanese forest ratsnake on this situation.
The load which through the forest,
There is our crossroad.

陸に早く上がりたかった。
だけど、陸の上は完全な自由ではなかった。
陸の上で兄弟は干からびた。
They wanted to go ashore early.
But the land was not the freedom that was complete for them.
Their brothers dried up on the land.
水の中に居たかった。
だけど、体が変わって水の中にいられなかった。
水の中で兄弟は溺れ死んだ。
They wanted to stay in water all the time.
But they metamorphosed, and there was not able to be it in water.
Their brothers were drowned in water and died.
「両生類」は陸でも水でも両方棲めるということ。
だけど、陸も水も無ければ生きていけないということ。
“Amphibians” are meanings living in the both environment in Japanese.
They can live on both the water and the land.
But they cannot live if there is neither the land nor the water.

小型サンショウウオの顔は愛らしい。
特に渓流性のサンショウウオ（ヒダサンショウウオ、ハコネサンショウウオ）。
The face of the small salamander is lovely.
Especially, stream in particular-related salamander is more lovely.
(Hida salamander, Japanese Clawed Salamander).
肉食動物という獰猛な生態は別として、
その顔の作りはカエルにも勝るとも個人的には思う。
Because it is a flesh-eating animal, the salamander is ferocious.
However, I think the face to be prettier than the frog personally.
エゾサンショウウオではなかなかその愛らしい顔を撮れなかったのだが、
ようやくステキな角度で撮れた。
I was not able to take a face like the love of Ezo salamander, but was able to finally take it at a wonderful angle.

でも私がサンショウウオが好きなのは、その”流線型”であるところ。
But the reason why I like salamanders is because they are “streamlined”.
魚みたいだよね。サンショウ「ウオ」。
It seems to be a fish.
We (Japanese people) call them “Sansyo-uo”, it means the fish which smell like the Japanese pepper.
“Streamline” が好きです。
The “Streamline” is good.

光と水と山椒魚と泥の渦。
The whirl of the light, water, salamander eggs and the mud.
渦の中で成長し、生まれてくる命の渦。
The life grows up in a whirl and is born.

場所をとらずコンパクトでありながら、表面積が大きく、水から酸素を貰い易い。
The shape that the whirl is compact. But surface area is big, and the egg case is easy to get oxygen from water.
渦は素晴らしい。
The whirl is great.

私はキタサンショウウオを撮影にし行った。
世界的には広い分布をする種類だけど日本では釧路湿原にしかしない。
生息地の状況や、サンショウウオの生態を考えると
繁殖期の今でないと撮影するのは難しい。
I went to take the photo of Siberian Salamander.
Siberian salamander is distributed widely worldwide.
But in Japan, they live only Kushiro dump plain.
It is difficlut for me to take the photo of them except spring.
Because salamander is not active except in the breeding season.
And because Kushiro dump plain is protected by some laws.
キタサンショウウオだけを対象と考えて撮影に臨んだが、
あまりの邪魔ものの多さに閉口しかけた。
大量のボウフラ、まとわりつく蚊。
水面に浮かぶ小さな巻貝、コミズムシ、泡、反射光、植物…。
I was weary of many obstacles.
Mosquito, mosquito larva, little snails, boat mans (insect),
bubbles, plants, reflected light…etc.
最後にはクモまで現れて、サンショウウオの上で宴会を始める始末。
Finally, spiders appeared and began a banquet on the salamander.
あまりの多さに、私はイライラするどころか、邪魔者に興味すら抱いた。
そしてふと考えると、彼らにとって私が一番の邪魔ものだと言う事に気が付いた。
I was interested in them.
Therefore I was not irritated.
And I noticed that I was the obstacle for them, too.
